The Bettie Allard YMCA is a 55,000 square foot aquatic and fitness facility with features designed for accessibility. Amenities include a gymnasium, fitness studios and equipment, walking track, pool and warm water tank. Coquitlam residents can enjoy 15 hours of fitness access and 30 hours of aquatic access at City drop-in rates.
The City has identified the future need for a comprehensive multi-use community recreation centre to be placed in the Burke Mountain Village neighbourhood area. This community centre is anticipated to be open by 2026, and will include a variety of programs and uses.
The Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex is a 190,000 square foot, ice and fitness facility. It offers a variety of ice skating, aquatic, fitness and dry floor programs as well as drop-in classes. It's also the home of the Coquitlam Sports Hall of Fame.
