COQUITLAM, B.C., Oct. 3, 2022 – In partnership with HUB Cycling, the City of Coquitlam is celebrating Go by Bike Week Oct. 3 to 9.

The week includes two public events to help build awareness around Coquitlam’s cycling infrastructure and services, including route maps, bike repair stations and over 100 kilometres of bike routes.

Every year, Coquitlam partners with local non-profit HUB Cycling on promotional events and activities to help support the health and environmental benefits of bike commuting. The Coquitlam-sponsored celebration stations will offer snacks, cycling resources, quick bike maintenance and prize giveaways.

Coquitlam’s Commitment to Cycling
Participation in Go by Bike Week is part of the City of Coquitlam’s ongoing commitment to sustainable transportation. How we move people and goods in, through and around Coquitlam is changing, so the City is currently working on an updated Strategic Transportation Plan. This plan will help define the potential improvements needed to help secure the use of sustainable transportation modes including bicycles.

Interested members of the public can visit www.coquitlam.ca/cycling to find cycling tips. In addition, cyclists looking for interactive regional bike maps with cycling routes in Coquitlam and throughout Metro Vancouver can visit www.coquitlam.ca/coquitlamconnect. The CoquitlamConnect App is also available free through the App Store and Google Play for your mobile devices.
