COQUITLAM, B.C., Feb. 14, 2023 – The City of Coquitlam has been recognized as one of BC’s Top Employers for the sixth year in a row.

In the annual competition held by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, the awards recognize B.C. employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.

Applicants are evaluated on nine criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement. As a top employer, the City of Coquitlam focuses on supporting employee growth and retention by creating opportunities for training and advancement. From ergonomic support to programs that include a Supervisor Safety certification and Mental Health Champions training, Coquitlam facilitates peer support and continuous education to support mental and physical wellbeing.
