COQUITLAM, BC, Feb. 3, 2020 – Due to the latest forecast of a significant snow event for Tuesday, Feb. 4, the City of Coquitlam is activating the Westwood Plateau Parking restrictions.
Effective 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4 there are no vehicles permitted to park on any of the streets and areas identified with red on the following map.
Please keep the streets free of parked vehicles and park in driveways and on private property and follow all posted parking restrictions.
Having the streets free of vehicles allows our City crews to plow streets clear from curb-to-curb making the streets safer for winter driving.
The City will advise when the parking ban has been deactivated via email as well as the following methods:
- the City’s website
- Public Service Advisories to the media
- digital message boards along both Parkway and Plateau boulevards
Please visit www.coquitlam.ca/winterwise for info on how to stay safe during snow events, to learn about our City operations and for up-to-date information.
We thank all residents for their cooperation and encourage everyone to stay safe.
Be Winter Wise
Coquitlam’s Winter Wise program kicks into gear each winter to minimize the impact of snow, ice, storms and colder temperatures. While the City works to keep roads safe and reduce service disruptions, residents are encouraged to do their part.
