Weight rooms at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex and City Centre Aquatic Complex are slowing reopening after an announcement from the Provincial Health Officer on Tuesday.
COQUITLAM, B.C., Jan. 21, 2022 – Weight rooms at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex and City Centre Aquatic Complex are slowing reopening after an announcement from the Provincial Health Officer on Tuesday.
The weight rooms are currently open to the public with pre-registered time blocks, distancing and capacity limits in place. At this time, both Glen Pine and Pinetree weight rooms remain closed due to spacing requirements.
In-person group fitness is anticipated to return starting Monday, Jan. 24, with indoor and outdoor offerings available.
Advanced registration and payment is required for both weight room access and outdoor spin classes. All indoor drop-in fitness classes will be first come, first served. Registration will open 48 hours in advance of the start of each class or session.

Vaccine & Mask Requirements
All City of Coquitlam recreation activities follow the current health and safety protocols as required in the public health order. Proof of vaccination for those 12 and up, and government issued ID for those 19 and up, is required for participation in all fitness activities.
Masks are required to be worn by all staff and patrons when not exercising, and while moving around the facility and between exercise equipment. Masks may be removed only while actively exercising.
