COQUITLAM, B.C., Feb. 9, 2023 – The Spring Program Guide is live! Coquitlam residents can now plan their spring general recreation and fitness activities, with program registration opening on Feb. 15 at 8:30 a.m. Registration for spring swimming and skating programs opened on Feb. 1.

Online registration is available 24/7 at coquitlam.ca/registration. Phone-in registration is available at 604-927-4386, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for statutory holidays) and weekends 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In-person registration is available at most recreation facilities.

Types of Registered Programs Available 

With programs for all ages and abilities, Coquitlam has a variety of general recreation and fitness opportunities available, including: 

  • Adult crafts, hobbies, dance, language classes, information presentations and workshops 
  • Beginner-friendly, low-impact fitness classes for ages 13+
  • Fun adult-participation programs for early years children
  • Arts and crafts, dance and sport programs for children 
  • Sports, music, fitness and leadership development programs for youth 
  • Birthday parties at Maillardville and Poirier Community Centres
  • Special events at Dogwood and Glen Pine Pavilions

 Financial Assistance Available for Recreation

It's easier than ever to access financial support for Coquitlam’s recreation services. The City’s Financial Assistance for Recreation program is now more user-friendly and flexible, with a much simpler application and income verification process. Each year, qualifying Coquitlam residents receive 50 free drop-in visits plus a $225 credit they can use for an expanded range of admissions, passes, programs, lessons, exam fees, supplies, rentals and more.
