COQUITLAM, B.C., May 23, 2023 – Kids and teens up to age 18 can look forward to a summer of fun for one low price with Coquitlam’s Summer Child & Youth Pass, on sale today.
An annual favourite, the 2023 pass will provide unlimited access to drop-in activities at Coquitlam’s pools and recreation centres from June 16 to Sept. 4, all for $25 including taxes.
More than 11 Weeks of Fun
Passholders can enjoy a variety of fun drop-in activities all summer long, including:
- Public swimming at indoor and outdoor pools;
- Drop-in sports, including basketball, badminton and volleyball;
- Drop-in skating; and
- For youth aged 13 to 18, fitness centres and drop-in fitness classes (teens 13 to 15 must complete a fitness orientation before participating).

Coquitlam’s Summer Child & Youth Pass can be purchased by phone at 604-927-4386 or in person at:
- Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex, 633 Poirier St.
- City Centre Aquatic Complex, 1210 Pinetree Way
- Maillardville Community Centre, 1200 Cartier Ave.
- Pinetree Community Centre, 1260 Pinetree Way
- Dogwood Pavilion, 1655 Winslow Ave.
- Glen Pine Pavilion, 1200 Glen Pine Crt.

More Low-cost or Free Summer Fun
Coquitlam offers a variety of low-cost or free activities to enjoy each summer, including:
- Ten free spray parks, now open, and a wading pool (info: coquitlam.ca/OutdoorPools);
- $2 admission for all ages at Eagle Ridge Outdoor Pool, open June 3 (info: coquitlam.ca/OutdoorPools);
- Free pop-up parks at Spirit Square July 22 and Mundy Park July 23, including an inflatable water slide, slip-and-slide and other fun activities; and

Financial Assistance for Recreation
Coquitlam strives to make recreation affordable and accessible for all residents. Coquitlam’s Summer Child & Youth Pass has provided deeply-discounted summer fun since 2015. This year’s price increase, from $20 to 25, was the first-ever increase while continuing to provide excellent value for local families. Additionally, the City has frozen regular drop-in rates and ONE PASS fees until March 2024 to help support access to recreation in the community.
Those eligible for the City’s Financial Assistance for Recreation program receive 50 free drop-in visits and a credit of $225 for each family member, which can be used for a range of admissions, passes, programs, lessons, exam fees, supplies, equipment rentals and more.
