COQUITLAM, B.C., May 24, 2023 – Coquitlam residents are in for a treat as the City's block party program is back with $150 cash grants for registered block party organizers.
The program aims to provide an opportunity for residents to connect with their neighbours, foster new friendships and build a sense of community.
Apply to Host a Block Party
In addition to $150 cash grants and free liability insurance, confirmed block party organizers can also borrow a Block Party Play Kit that includes games and activities, download a Block Party Handbook for activity ideas and inspiration, and request road closures for cul-de-sacs, lanes and neighborhood roads.
Coquitlam residents can apply for the $150 cash grant at coquitlam.ca/BlockParties to help with food or supply purchases, equipment rentals, entertainment, or other costs, ideally sourced from Coquitlam. Local business listings can be found at visitcoquitlam.ca.
