[ARCHIVED] Register for Coquitlam’s January Recreation Programs Dec. 9

COQUITLAM, B.C., Dec. 4, 2020 – Many of Coquitlam’s popular recreation programs, such as swimming and skating lessons, will be continuing in the new year, with registration beginning Wednesday, Dec. 9. Details will be available online on Monday, Dec. 7.

Online registration is available 24/7 at www.coquitlam.ca/registration starting Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 8:30 a.m. Phone-in registration is available on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 604-927-4386, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for statutory holidays) and weekends 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Safety protocols are in place at all City facilities to ensure the safety of program participants and staff. In compliance with the Provincial Mask Mandate Order, masks are required in all indoor facilities with exemptions as outlined in the Provincial Mask Mandate Order. For example, a mask is not required when participating in a fitness activity, but it must be worn as you move around the facility. Programming Choices for Everyone

Popular programs that everyone has come to love are available for all ages and abilities: swimming and skating lessons; parent-and-tot, preschool and children’s recreation activities; programs to help youth connect and engage; adult and senior general interest and wellness programs.

Coquitlam Recreation is adapting regularly to changing Public Health Orders and we appreciate your patience as we may make last minute changes. If programs are cancelled due to Provincial Health Orders, an account credit will be provided to those who registered in advance. To request a refund, sign into your online account and request a refund to the original method of payment, or call 604-927-4386 for assistance.

The City introduced an Online Program Guide to highlight recreation programs offered in November and December. Based on positive feedback, an Online Program Guide will be produced for January recreation programs, visible Monday, Dec. 7 at www.coquitlam.ca/programguide

Keeping You Safe Indoors

All of Coquitlam’s recreation facilities have detailed safety plans and protocols in place to ensure the safety of visitors and staff. Access and activities have been modified to ensure safe distancing, hand hygiene, reduced touchpoints and other health precautions. Measures include enhanced cleaning, restricting access to registered patrons only, physical barriers and different access routes, limits to participant numbers and changes to some activities.
