Cart Repairs/Replacements Form

• Cart Exchange Form
• The size of your Garbage Cart determines the Garbage Fee on the annual utility bill. The larger the Garbage Cart, the higher the Garbage Fee.
• Garbage Cart upsizes are subject to a $50 administrative fee, plus the pro-rated  increase to the Garbage Fee for the remainder of the year.
• If downsizing, the $50 administrative fee will be waived and the Garbage Fee reduction will be reflected on the following year's utility bill 
• If you are considering getting a smaller Garbage Cart, please ensure the size you choose will be suitable for your household's needs. Remember, cart lids must be completely closed when set out for collection. Overflowing carts may not be collected and may also create a wildlife attractant issue.
• Homeowner approval is required for all Garbage Cart exchanges due to changes in fees.

• Additional Green Cart Purchase Form
• You can buy additional Green Carts from the City. Additional Green Carts do not affect the Garbage Fee on the annual utility bill. If you buy an additional Green Cart, it belongs to you and you may take it with you when you move. The original City-issued carts must always remain with the property. 
• One-time purchase fees for additional Green Carts are based on the cart size: 
  • 120L size = $140
  • 240L size = $150 (standard size)
  • 360L size = $160

• If you are moving into a newly constructed home in Coquitlam, please note that the City only provides service to single-family homes and some multi-plexes with 8 units or less.
