We’re located in Town Centre Park, north of Guildford Way on Pipeline Road.

We’re open to the public, dawn to dusk.

Become a Park Spark Garden Volunteer

Green thumbs of all ages and abilities are encouraged to get involved, share knowledge, learn new skills and make a difference while enhancing Coquitlam’s outdoor parks spaces.

Throughout the growing season, the Park Spark team will working to keep the Inspiration Garden at its best. For information on how to become a Park Spark Garden volunteer, please email us.

Youth Urban Garden Team

Test out your green thumb, share your knowledge, learn new skills and have fun with the Youth Urban Garden team at the Inspiration Garden in Town Centre Park As a member of the team you will help care for and maintain the Inspiration Garden or other garden beds around Town Centre Park, and assist with planning other park enhancement opportunities. Tree Care and Pruning

Coquitlam's Park Spark team and an Urban Forestry Arborist are teaming up to offer a workshop highlighting principles, practices and techniques to consider when pruning your trees.

Managing Invasive Plants on your Property

Coquitlam's Park Spark and Bad Seed staff are teaming up to offer a workshop about invasive plants. We'll cover how to identify invasive plants, what the negative impacts of invasive plants are, best practices for removing them on your property and proper disposal, and suggestions on non-invasive species to plant instead.

Coquitlam’s Park Spark team is offering a workshop all about the essentials of composting. Learn about the science behind decomposition and how dead plants turn into soil. We’ll also discuss vermiculture and using red wiggler worms to speed up the composting process.

Soil Identification and Water Wise Gardening

In this workshop, we'll discuss different soil types, how to identify them, their drainage patterns and how to best use them for water-wise gardening.
