Pick up a printed "passport" booklet at Dogwood Pavilion or Glen Pine Pavilion.
Collect a stamp each time you participate in one of our free activities offered throughout the week. Look for the passport stamp symbol in your Seniors Week program booklet for eligible programs.
For every three stamps you collect, your name will be entered into a prize draw. The more programs you attend, the more chances to win!

Meeting of the Melodies (Passport)
Family and friends are welcome to spread out a blanket and enjoy the music and dance performances from the choirs and groups in our pavilions and community. In case of rain the event will be moved indoors.
Garden Meditative Walk (Passport)
Join this garden meditative walk by Wewaves Wellness and the Park Spark Team. Wewaves Wellness is a community-centered organization dedicated to fostering individual and collective well-being. We will be guided to engage in areflective walk through the Inspiration Garden. Exercises and activities that will explore the senses to foster a deeper connection to community and the appreciation for nature in the urban environment. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Exploring Gouache Workshop (Passport)
Celebrate Seniors Week with an introduction to gouache painting. Enjoy creative fun while learning simple techniques in a social setting. All materials are provided.

Join the Dogwood 50 Plus Society for a showcase of creativity, connection and community spirit! Explore engaging displays and live demonstrations from a variety of activity groups, including readings from the Lifewriters Group. Stop by the Wood Carving Group to see the craft in action and learn more about our Woodshop. Everyone is welcome to come connect and get inspired!

Mind-bending and fun puzzles to challenge your thinking with your friends. Simple hands-on paper-based puzzles for you to solve using your creative, lateral and analytical thinking. Great way to exercise your brain and engage with others!

Silver Screamers Screening with Q&A
Join us for a special screening of Silver Screamers - a heartwarming and spine-tingling documentary that follows a group of spirited senior citizens as they embark on an extraordinary adventure far outside their comfort zone; creating a horror film. The screening will be followed with a live stream Q&A with the director Sean Cisterna.
Love & Harmony Workshop
Join us for light refreshments as you learn about Dogwood Pavilion’s variety of adult and senior programs, activities, and services! Meet City staff and members of the Dogwood Seniors Society Board in this engaging information session. Will feature a tour of special amenities such as the woodshop and lapidary rooms.

Park Flag Painting
Join the Park Spark team for a creative and collaborative community art project as we paint vibrant flags and fence banners! This hands-on activity involves transforming blank flags into colourful works of art that will be displayed inparks to brighten public spaces and celebrate local community pride.
Garden Basics, Starting from Seed Workshop
This hands-on introductory workshop will cover everything you need to know about starting your vegetable garden from seed. Plan for your growing season with us! In this session, we will talk about soil mixes, preparation, watering, the process of seed germination, and the plant lifecycle.

Guided Art Tour - Maillardville
Explore Coquitlam’s Maillardville neighbourhood on a free, guided public art tour. Join us as we discover the colourful murals and sculptures in historic Maillardville while learning about the artists and stories behind them. The route is approximately 1 km long and relatively flat. Please dress for the weather, this tour will take place rain or shine, walking shoes are recommended.
Volleyball 50+ Drop-in
Enjoy this no-cost drop-in for Senior’s Week! Each player must be registered separately. Players must be 50yrs+ and check in will not begin until 5 minutes before the scheduled drop-in time. Spectators are not allowed.

Glen Pine 50 Plus Society Multicultural Mocktail Party
The Glen Pine 50plus Society presents a Mocktail Multicultural party celebrating our cultural diversity to wrap up Seniors Week. An afternoon of inclusive sharing with traditional dances in costumes from China, Philippines, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and more to build social connection. Wearing global outfits is welcomed. Light refreshments will be served.
